Friend
To me, friendship is a confusing thing because in a lot of cases the bond
between two people is fake. The world has only as many real friends as
there are fingers on my hand. In the “process” of finding a true friend one
has his own positive qualities which he looks for in others.
This is one of my standards when looking for a friend. To me the most
important characteristic is respect towards others and also me. Loyalty,
honesty and kindness are some qualities that I find important as well. I have
to mention patience, because everyone who knows me well knows that I am
always late. Of course, there are also some negative qualities such as
selfishness, jealousy, intolerance, stubbornness and overconfidence, which I
don’t like in a person. I call them pet peeves.
I think that having a true friend is like having the best guard, butler and
mom all in one. Such friend will always be there for you even in the most
uncomfortable and awkward situations. Sometimes that friend will also be
honest and fair enough to let you know what you are doing wrong. Or right.
There will for sure be some situations when you and your friend will do
something bad and disobey the rules together just for fun. If you get into
fight with a friend, it’s very important to end it right and talk it through. Real
friends know how to do the right thing.
As Freddy Mercury sang friends will be friends, right till the end.
